چکیده
The farnesyltransferase α-subunit (FTA) may be involved in the regulation of defence responses against pathogens plants. In this study, gene was amplified from Catharanthus roseus (CrFTA gene). cDNA found to 1 403 bp long, and encodes a putative protein 331 amino acids that contains conserved PPTA motif. phylogenetic analysis showed sequence CrFTA is most similar Coffea canephora. qRT-PCR assays indicated expressed leaves, stems, roots. During Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Ca. L. asiaticus) infection, expression levels significantly increased reached 18-fold measured control group, after which its decreased gradually 22 days top-grafting (DAT) end experiment. Spray application Manumycin A (ManuA), specific inhibitor farnesyltransferase, on leaves C. plants caused significant decrease increase Ca. positivity percentage with asiaticus-infected shoots compared groups not treated ManuA. Furthermore, ABA had no effect relative number asiaticus-positive These results suggest likely plays role mediating tolerance infection roseus.

The ABC transporters in Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus
Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Ca. L. asiaticus) is a Gram-negative bacterium and the pathogen of Citrus Greening disease (Huanglongbing, HLB). As a parasitic bacterium, Ca. L. asiaticus harbors ABC transporters that play important roles in exchanging chemical compounds between Ca. L. asiaticus and its host. Here, we analyzed all the ABC transporter-related proteins in Ca. L. asiaticus. We ...

Citrus greening or huanglongbing (HLB) is a devastating disease of citrus. HLB is associated with the phloem-limited fastidious prokaryotic alpha-proteobacterium 'Candidatus Liberibacter spp.' In this report, we used sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) leaf tissue infected with 'Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus' and compared this with healthy controls. Investigation of the host response was examined with ...

Huanglongbing (HLB) or citrus greening disease is a destructive disease of citrus worldwide, which is associated with Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus. This phloem-limited fastidious pathogen is transmitted by the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri, and appears to be an intracellular pathogen that maintains an intimate association with the psyllid or the plant throughout its life cycle. Th...

Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Las), a non-culturable phloem-limited bacterium, is the suspected causal agent of huanglongbing (HLB) in Florida. HLB is one of the most devastating diseases of citrus and no resistant cultivars have been identified to date, though tolerance has been observed in the genus Poncirus and some of its hybrids. This study compares transcriptional changes in tolerant...
